Melissa Ann Artistry + Co. completes 250+ weddings each year, and we’re always looking for talented, reliable, and passionate Bridal Contractors who love creating beautiful, long‑lasting bridal looks.

 

We handle all marketing, booking, scheduling, client communication, contracts, timelines, payroll processing, travel fees, and gratuities — so you can focus entirely on the artistry.

 

• All positions are 1099 independent contractor roles.

Makeup Artist  Positions

​

We’re seeking skilled, dependable, and passionate makeup artists to join our bridal team.

 

What We’re Looking For

​

• Certification or professional experience is a plus — but we will train the right candidate

• Ability to perform both airbrush and traditional makeup

  • If you’re not airbrush‑certified yet, we offer in‑house airbrush training with a repayment plan

• A well‑stocked bridal makeup kit is preferred

  • Kit‑building options with a repayment plan are available if you’re still building your kit

• Strong understanding of skin prep, long‑wear bridal makeup, and lash application

• Ability to complete each service in 40 minutes (and 45 minutes for brides)

• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current car insurance

• Ability to obtain Business Limited Liability insurance by your first wedding

  • We can help guide you through this and offer a repayment‑style option if needed

• Professionalism, excellent communication, and a calm, supportive presence on wedding mornings

• Weekend availability (you choose which weekends you work)

Hairstylist   Positions

 

 

We’re expanding our team of talented bridal hairstylists.

 

What We’re Looking For

​

• Cosmetology license preferred

• Bridal hairstyling experience is a plus — but we will train the right stylist

• A professional bridal hair kit is preferred

  • Kit‑building options with a repayment plan are available

• Ability to complete each hairstyle in 40 minutes, and 45 minutes for brides

• Strong understanding of modern bridal styles, secure pinning, and longevity techniques

• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current car insurance

• Ability to obtain Business Limited Liability insurance by your first wedding

• Professionalism, reliability, and a positive attitude

Our Pewaukee Studio

​

All bridal or event trials take place at our Pewaukee studio, a clean, professional, well-lit space designed for

• Bridal or event trials

• Client consultations

• Approved content creataion

• Wedding -morning rental for weddings and small events

 

If you accept a bride, you must be willing to travel to the studio for the trial. 

 

Travel Requirments
 

To serve brides across Wisconsin, all Bridal Contractors must be willing to travel up to one hour from their home or our Pewaukee studio for wedding day services.

Trial Travel

• All bridal trials are held at our Pewaukee studio.

• If you accept a bride, you MUST travel for her trial.

• If you prefer not to travel for trials, you may simply decline bride assignments.

Arist Tier Program

​

A Clear, Contractor‑Friendly Structure Designed for Flexibility & Transparency

 

Our tier system is not employment, not promotion‑based, and not tied to benefits. It simply organizes Bridal Contractors based on:

• The type of bridal work they prefer

• Their comfort level with trials and travel

• Their desired level of commitment

• Their weekend availability

TIER 1 — Lead Bridal Contractors (Our Strongest Artists)

• 30% administrative deduction

• Exclusive to Melissa Ann Artistry + Co.

• Majority brides + trials

• Must complete 12 weddings per year

• Must travel for trials

• Must participate in one trade show or pop‑up bridal event per year

• Weekend availability required (you choose your weekends)

TIER 2 — Senior Bridal Contractors

• 35% administrative deduction

• Exclusive to Melissa Ann Artistry + Co.

• Mix of brides + attendees

• Must complete 12 weddings per year

• Must travel for trials only if they accept a bride

• No trade show requirement

• Weekend availability required (you choose your weekends)

 

TIER 3 — Flex / Fill‑In Bridal Contractors (Super Part‑Time)

• 40% administrative deduction

• May work with other bridal teams (non‑competitors)

• Primarily fill‑in + attendees

• No minimum wedding requirement

• Trials optional / case‑by‑case

• Weekend availability required (you choose your weekends)

**Brand Alignment for Tier 3
Tier 3 Bridal Contractors may work with other bridal teams, but when working Melissa Ann Artistry weddings, they must fully represent the Melissa Ann Artistry brand. Contractors may not use Company weddings, trials, or studio sessions to promote a separate bridal business or competing brand. All content created during Company weddings must align with Melissa Ann Artistry’s aesthetic and branding.

BRAND REPRESENTATION CONTENT GUIDELINES
Although all roles with Melissa Ann Artistry + Co. are independent contractor positions, every Bridal Contractor represents the Melissa Ann Artistry brand. 

 

Brand Alignment
Contractors may not operate, advertise, or promote a separate bridal beauty business while contracted with the Company, unless classified under Tier 3 and approved within our non‑compete guidelines.

 

Content Creation
Contractors may create content featuring their work for personal portfolios, but may not:

• Use Company weddings, trials, or studio sessions to promote a separate bridal business

• Post content that implies they run their own bridal team

• Use Company brides or wedding mornings to advertise a competing brand

• Use the Pewaukee studio for personal business or non‑Company client.

​

All content created during Company weddings or trials must clearly represent Melissa Ann Artistry + Co. and align with our brand aesthetic.
